I have always wanted to do something like this... :)
Like, a little pic of how i have actually started drawing Mario, to the present day sorta thing..

:iconohjoyplz: aww, they grow up so quickly dont they? :lol:
Well here is something for you to see how i personally, have started drawing Mario.

1987"Cartoon Retro Style"
Wow, wind back the clock! This was an actual little pic i had stashed in my memory folder, when i was cleaning up the other day, i found a box containing some old drawings ^_^ so i decided to trace my OWN work :XD: and put good old 1987 pic of Mario in here :3 can you notice the difference? ;)

1993 "Retro Style"
Heheheee.. <3 This is how i later drew Mario, notice the facial expression isnt that far off from the cartoon retro style, back then those cartoon series of Mario Bros, and SUper Mario Bros (NES) times where when i started drawing Mario anyways :3 lol instruction booklets where my fav thing to copy and try and draw like that XD

1995 "Official Style"
Aha, this is where it started getting interesting i think, the eyes and facial expressions started having a mix of the official look, mixed with that of my own styke? I dunno, this was another little pic i found in my Memory folder :) and it kinda reminds me of what *nintendrawer draws! :3 Obviously this was when Super Mario Bros 3, World ect came to my world.. :nod: and i used to draw Mario's eyes like that alot back then, more cartoony.

2000 "Manga Style"
Well here is a turn around... :XD: after drawing Mario for so many years with the basic eyes, and evolving mainly just his expressions a bit, and maybe how anatomy goes =P This version was found amongst the stuff i used to draw for Project Mecha, yup.. its style started then, I used to draw nothing but poses back then, and it helped/ helps a lot when looking back at old stuff. This one you can see the obvious change in eye expression, and style.. his face, and body have gotten more "human" as aposed to cartoon style from long ago..

2005+ "Project Mecha Style"
Holy Mushrooms! :DMy Project Mecha sketch books are massive, the biggest sketch collection i ever had! X3 It spans over 10 different sketch books, each with their own pose styles, battle scenes, (some of which i have already used and are on DeviantArt ;) ) some of them havent even been properly cleaned, and are starting to fade O_O;; i managed to get this one from my sketch book, its Mario holding the Star Wand, (something Kamek wants pretty damn badly) The tuft of hair is visible from this stage, as apposed to its other counterparts during the years of evolutionary drawing.. =P

2007 "Comic Style"
Ahhhh we have something a little more "convenient" here, this is how Mario looks when drawn within the comic sense of things, the eyes have widened dramatically, the tuft of hair remains, and the gloves and actually different, same with the boidy, (slightly more "lanky looking") to add more comic sense. :b More like, a Chibi version, but due to the eyes being like that, isnt really chibi :3 This would have to be the easiest style to draw, and one im more familiar with.. the body itself is small, rather flat but i still conserve the shoes being so damn big and bulky looking XD ever noticed that? ^_-

2009 "Dark Style"
With me finding out about Super Paper Mario, and Mr L, and Mr M.. ect ect, and also seeing so much art being made like this, all dark, mysetrious and occult.. it kinda makes me think if i have more styles than one, or my own X3 what i meant by that is, yknow how a person can draw say, Yoshi.. and another person draws Yoshi totally different but still recognizable? :nod: yea... I can still detect my own style in this one though X3 even if it is a morph of what others have already done..<3

:heart: CENTER PIC:heart:
And... the final results, call it what you like, i think its pure hard core Anime fused with my own style.. the eyes scream out *saiiko XP but there is something Natsy about it too :3 that was done first, and i went through all the other pics in my sketch books and Memory folders, and drew around this little guy in the middle of it all, since he is the most recent X3 I can see something though.. the eyes where evolved from the very start, obviously i lacked the skills to draw bodies back then.. give me a break i was only..what..? 6 years old =3 My first NES camw around that time, and i was pumped! :excited:

still am... :iconexcitedplz:

:star: The thing with Mario fan art, so many people have been telling me to stop drawing it (family included) cause ever since they met me/ know me, ive been drawing nothing but Mario fan art.. well, im sorry guys, but i have grown up with it, if you only knew how much i love drawing, and just stop nagging at the fact i draw Nintendo fan work ect.. and take a good long hard look, at something much more than just "Why" i draw what i draw.. you will start getting me as iam :)

:party: A little Birthday pic for myself :party:

:pencil::star: Drawn by hand, using Graphite pencils (given to me by some mates, thankjuu! ^^ ) and lightly re sketched/ lined with inking pen in a 0.2 tip.

:icondonotplz::iconusemyartplz:

Wow, looking at this makes me all nostalgic and stuff :love:
Im glad im around to witness such a thing, even if i get slammed by some that my Mario art has to stop.. -__-;;
:no: See, the way i see it, if something fuels you, and you love drawing/ doing it... why give up cause people tell you to? :3

Anyways, hope you like it :)
